Dedication of Parish Church bells by Archbishop
Nafferton Village News The Archbishop of York will dedicate the new ring of bells in All Saints' Church, Nafferton at 2pm on Sunday 3rd October 2010.
The bells are now in place in the tower and are rung for Sunday morning services and weddings. We are starting Thursday night practices 7-30 to 9-00, we have 3 people who have already started to learn to ring. We are also having some Saturday morning training classes for new learners on bells with their clappers tied. It takes time, patience and dedication to learn to control a bell. I apologise for problems with the clock, a new gearing system has been fitted and the clock is now working.
